Lucy Collins – Hypnotherapy

I have always felt a huge draw to working in a therapeutic setting, and after experiencing hypnotherapy myself, this particular approach really resonated with me, and lead to my training to become a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist at CPHT, Bristol.

I have had a very varied career, working with children and adults with social, emotional and mental health needs, in settings such as a CAMHS inpatient unit as a Dance Therapist, and special and mainstream schools in pastoral and specialist positions.

I am a licensed Thrive Practitioner and hold a level 2 certificate in counselling, and have a solid foundation in working with children with trauma, as well as in specialised roles for children with autism and other additional needs.

Having trained originally in Professional Musical Theatre, worked in the industry and taught in the arts for many years, performance, emotional regulation and focus through this expression have also been a key direction of mine, and one which I have gone on to support clients with. Creativity and encouraging this part of the brain to facilitate change is also an element of hynotherapy which I am incredibly passionate about.

I have always placed huge value on communicating with and understanding people, which stems from my experiences of growing up in France; and I pride myself on an empathetic and kind therapeutic approach, taking the time to understand clients in a holistic way, yet aiding clients to understand themselves and their behaviour, and supporting them in stepping into their own power.

I am also a trained yoga teacher, with elements of Eastern philosophy being at the core of my hypnotherapy sessions: supporting you in aligning mind, body and soul, to uncover and live in accordance with your highest potential.
